For me it's a form of entertainment...a hobby if you will!Hahaha, well put was thinking about making this type of post recently as well as it's kind of fun and entertaining for sure. Gives us all fuel and a needed boost of self confidence to fight back HARD and not take it lying down anymore. Face it the org is rife with bullies and narcissists ! They can only bully us only if we let them, knowledge is power.

Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?
by Wonderment ini wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.
could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?
perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

heart troubles

my health took a beating over the years with stress from various sources, not a little from the wt; and dangerous areas of work involving fumes and so on.
the arc also took its toll and i have had recently a heart attack.

Take care Zeb one day at a time. You'll get through this, and I know what you are saying about the stress. I suffer from anxiety as well, hereditary as mental illness runs on my mothers side and both my brother and I feel the effects. The WTBS made it worst, I knew it but kept at it longer than I should have as it was often said from the platform : In these last days and months, so I kept at it till I wound up in the emergency ward in desperation.
Keep it simple and do things for YOU from now on. You are important and deserve to be well again.

Good subject, I come on here for research, therapy and to comes to terms with how my weaknesses were exploited to the benefit of the WTBS and others that have no conscience. So in effect to compare notes and maybe console others in any way I can through by my experiences and recent awakening. Mind you I was only in from '00 - '08 but it took at least an additional 5 years to begin deprogramming myself being I was exposed to 'the truth' from my early high school years. The higher moral ground does have benefits but what I didn't know was all the useless busy work and double standards that go along with it. Once in the pressure to perform and produce as a 'publisher' ratchets up exponentially. I'm still learning to forgive myself and move on. -

Why does the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses use the Bible?

The Appeal and Draw of the Watchtower

betrayal, anger, resentment, deep depression from the relationships lost.
emotions seemed to guide my viewpoint of others as well.

As I've often said GB are just pimps in all sense of the word. Pimping God, Jesus, the Bible, your spirituality, your job, money, marriage mate etc. That is where I was going with this.

Jehovah's Witnesses May Have Peaked in Membership at 8 Million (+/-)
by OnTheWayOut ini don't have all the details of their new "service year" numbers, but i have read enough on jwn to state my opinion pretty strongly.. memorial attendance for 2015 was down.while they kept saying they were going to build a bunch of new kingdom halls, and everybody is still in recovery from watchtower taking all the local money away, they say pretty much that there isn't enough money to build new kingdom halls.putting gb members on the videos at jw .
org has allowed people to really put a face and personality to these guys and remove the mystery of how they should be such deeply spiritual serious men.
instead they see silly thoughts about tight pants and, really everything that comes out of lett's mouth is delivered ultra-goofy, along with the money reports.. the gb lost credibility a little more with every new light that shone down, with the strangest one being "overlapping generation.

Agreed nothing but contraction here on out. The internet, young people maturing faster than ever before and the already mentioned bumbling moves of the GB do not bode well. Stagnating wages and high cost of living are such that most people now make informed rather than emotional decisions before committing to anything. There is no cost benefit in joining such a demanding cult. If one were to want to find out 'What does the Bible Really teach' they can do it on their own in the comfort of their home on the computer without having to deal with any strangers or weirdo's.
